Jimmies or Sprinkles?

Discuss.

I tend to call them sprinkles now, but I grew up calling them jimmies (learned that in Wisconsin). How about the rest of you? The few that actually read this thing? Please state what you called them as a kid, what you call them now, and where you grew up. Thanks. =)

Sprinkles then, sprinkles now. Grew up in Northern VA. :-)

This post was inspired by one of Wil Wheaton's blog posts recently. He called them "jimmies" and he grew up in southern California. I hadn't heard anyone call them that since I was a kid, or from someone in my family.

Definitely Jimmies. Grew up in Milwaukee, still living there.

But I work with people from all over, and other people rarely use Jimmies...

Sprinkles.

Honestly, I had never heard the term "Jimmies" applied to sprinkles until this very post. And I'm from Minnesota, your neighbor!!!

Funny thing is, I was born in Minnesota, though we left when I was 3 months old. But I went to camp many years in Bemidji, Minnesota, and we always had arguments about what to call things (soda/pop, etc.).
